Sit. Stay. Shop for your Holiday Gifts!

The 9th Annual Humane Society “Holiday Store” will open Friday November 28th through January 4th in our store, Gifts from the Heart, on Main Street in Andes.

All proceeds will go directly to benefit the cats and dogs at the Heart of the Catskills Humane Society. There’s something for everyone at bargain prices and you just never know what you'll find! Merchandise changes daily with new donations coming into the store each week!

Unfortunately, our sales are down from last year, so we are counting on our supporters and customers to push us to a strong finish. Gifts From the Heart is "the" place to shop in a down economy and we have a wide and ever-changing inventory for the last-minute, hard-to-find gifts. And, for those impossible-to-shop-for folks (and we all know them).

We are able to open only Saturday & Sundays, 10 am – 4 pm, and weekdays by chance or appointment (845-676-4247) because more volunteers are needed. We are counting on the store to be one of our financial bright spots this year, as long as we can keep it staffed. If you can volunteer to fill up the remaining days of this year and keep the store open, especially during the week, please call Ann Lukin at 845-586-3950.

Two Special Days with Santa Claws

Join us for a totally fun day when Santa Claws visits PetSmart at the Kingston adoption center to take pictures with your pets.

On Saturday, December 20th and Sunday, December 21th, 11am – 4pm, Heart of the Catskills Humane Society’s elves will assist with taking pictures of your pet with Santa. For $9.95, with your PetPerks savings card, you will receive one 4x6 digital photograph in a holiday collector frame.

Great news is that $5 from each photo package purchased one these days will be donated to the care of the homeless cats and dogs at our shelter. Please call Christina, 845-901-6115, for more information.
