What is Microchipping?
The HomeAgain microchip is permanent identification for your pet, safe and easily administered by trained shelter personnel. The chip’s unalterable identification code is read by an easy-to-use, hand held scanner that all animal control organizations, humane societies, SPCAs and animal hospitals have. A pet’s identification number is enrolled with a nationwide database maintained by the HomeAgain Pet Recovery Service which is accessible 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

What if My Pet Becomes Lost?
>> HomeAgain sends email alerts (including your pet's picture) instantly sent to shelters, vet clinics, and other members of the HomeAgain network where your pet was lost or near your home.

>> HomeAgain offers on-call support by trained counselors to assist in your pet's recovery.

>> HomeAgain offers the immediate engagement of a network of PetRescuers in your area to actively look for your pet if he or she should become lost.

>> HomeAgain can create a "lost pet poster" with your pet's picture that you can post in the neighborhood to aid the search for your pet.

>>HomeAgain has a 24/7 network of veterinarians to help you by phone in the case of a medical emergency.

>> HomeAgain offers complimentary lost pet medical insurance that covers your lost pet for up to $3,000 of emergency medical treatment (less a $50 deductible) for injuries your pet suffers while lost, upon proof of a lost pet incident. Once enrolled in HomeAgain, call to activate your pet's insurance coverage.

The humane society can microchip your adopted shelter cat or dog for the low cost of only $20.00. The lifetime HomeAgain registration fee that includes all of the services listed above is $14.99.
