The public is invited to join us on Monday, April 20, 2009, at 7PM, at SUNY Delhi, Sanford Hall, Room 1. We will bring you up to date on our many accomplishments, our financial status, and some of our future plans. Our guest speaker will be SUNY Delhi Assistant Professor of Veterinary Science Technology, Erika Fogle, RVT, JD. We look forward to seeing you there!

Gifts from the Heart, Main Street in Andes

When you visit our Gifts from the Heart Store in Andes, you will be surprised to find many new items. There is a large selection of cards, gift wrap, bows and gift bags along with wonderful gifts and novelties. There is something for everyone and there is an ongoing 50% off sale until the end of April. If you need a gift for someone special or just want to treat yourself to something different, come shop in our little store. You will also be giving a special gift to our shelter animals when you make a purchase.

All proceeds from the store go directly to the shelter for the care of our pets. Store hours: Sat. and Sun. 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and weekdays by chance.

Beautiful Heart Walk Path!
Help HCHS pave another Heart Walk Path!

Be a part of the second installment of our beautiful Heart Walk around the shelter grounds. You may have seen our first pathway, leading from our outdoor cat gazebo, fourteen feet of beautiful, locally-quarried bluestone pavers, engraved with tributes to loved ones and honoring cherished pets. If you haven’t seen the pathway, stop by the shelter and take a look (after you say "hello" to our furry residents, of course).

On Saturday, May 23rd, we will unveil the second installment of pavers, extending from the end of the first pathway toward the shelter. To be a part of that, be sure to get your order in by April 25th. We are selling 4" x 8" pavers for $100 and 8" x 8" pavers for $200, which not only goes directly to help care for the animals, but which gives you a lasting tribute for all our shelter visitors to admire. You can obtain an order form at the shelter, at our Gifts From the Heart store in Andes, or online.
