Our 24th annual HCHS Dinner Dance & Auction will be held on Saturday, June 17th at the newly renovated Belleayre Mountain Ski Resort Discovery Lodge. The last time we had this event in person was 2019, so we look forward to catching up after 4 years with all our shelter family and friends! Annual Woofs & Wags Dog Walk!
The Enchanted 'Fur'est!
Saturday, September 16th11:30am to 2pm
Onsite at the Humane Society
This year's dog walk theme is “The Enchanted ‘Fur’est!” It will be an enchanting and charming woof-land and fairy-land day where we look forward to seeing an array of creative and imaginative woof-land themed costumes for our wonderful costume contest! There will be magical music, a gnome roam toadstool obstacle course contest, a hedgehog toss contest, fairy face painting and other fun ‘fur’est themed contests and activities for everyone!
Come and get a delightful lunch at the Fern Gully food tent and grab a sweet treat at our bake sale! Meet a NYS Forest Ranger and volunteers from local wildlife organizations who will present enjoyable education programs that day. And don’t forget to visit our captivating shelter felines under the Meow-gical ‘Fur’est Cat Tent!

Something new and big is happening soon! Our 25th annual Spring Auction “Paws for Celebration” will be held on Saturday, April 20th from 4pm to 7pm, at our new venue, Spillian, A Place to Revel, in Fleischmanns. Animal lovers will gather to enjoy both silent and live auction items, wine and spirits, a delicious offering of both sweet and savory culinary creations, all while enjoying and exploring the estate and listening to the antique Steinway grand piano performing of Adam Ippolito, famed musician, who has performed with John Lennon, Yoko Ono, Kool and the Gang, and Whitney Houston, just to name a few. This will truly be a special event! We look forward to seeing you there! TICKETS ARE SOLD OUT!
Rummage Sale!

Rain or Shine!
Items for the rummage sale may be dropped off onsite at the humane society Wed. May 15th and Thurs. May 16th between 12pm and 4pm. Clean and working items only and NO CLOTHING, NO TVs and NO COMPUTERS please!
Baked goods for the Bake Sale can be dropped off Fri., May 17th or on the morning of Sat., May 18th.

Show your pet-loving sweetheart how special they are by spreading some love in their honor to a Heart of the Catskills Humane Society furry friend in need!
Help raise funds for the basic needs of our local shelter pets like food, general medical care, testing & vaccinations, spay & neuter surgery and heat to keep them warm! We will also help raise awareness that could lead to them finding their own fur-ever home!

Adopt a Shrinking Violet Shelter Cat!
Do you have room in your heart and home for one of our speical sweet and shy 'shrinking violet' cats?
If you can shower them with love, they will bloom into a beloved companion cat! All they need is a home, a little patience, some treats and playtime and they will blossom with you!
Come by and visit these shy but sweet cats Tuesdays - Saturdays
from Noon - 4pm!
Adopt a Working Shelter Cat!
The shelter is full of cats that need a job! They want to work and are not cut out for the lazy pet life! They can provide you with environmentally friendly rodent control for spaces like barns, workshops and garages. They work for a fair wage - all they ask for is a safe space to work, food and water! They will even willingly put in overtime for you!
