Foster Homes Needed for Kittens & Cats!
Become Foster Caregiver & Help Save a Life
The Heart of the Catskills Humane Society's Foster Care Program provides temporary housing and care for shelter pets who aren't quite ready for adoption or just need some time out of the shelter.
The shelter needs foster homes for mom cats with kittens and currently has several shy adult cats that would greatly benefit from some special foster TLC in a home setting to give them the confidence they need to blossom and find their forever homes.
The shelter will provide all the food and supplies needed, including medical care. We just ask that foster families provide lots of love, socialization and playtime they need!

Adopt a Shrinking Violet Shelter Cat!
Do you have room in your heart and home for one of our speical sweet and shy 'shrinking violet' cats?
If you can shower them with love, they will bloom into a beloved companion cat! All they need is a home, a little patience, some treats and playtime and they will blossom with you!

Adopt a Working Shelter Cat!
The shelter is full of cats that need a job! They want to work and are not cut out for the lazy pet life! They can provide you with environmentally friendly rodent control for spaces like barns, workshops and garages. They work for a fair wage - all they ask for is a safe space to work, food and water! They will even willingly put in overtime for you!
